In Full Swing

Our growing season is now in full swing, we had a fabulous year for tulips and these will be a big part of our planning for next season, inspired no less by the gorgeous new book by Polly Nicholson ‘The Tulip Garden’, if you are passionate about flowers I highly recommend, the photography is breathtaking. I have a secret flower book addiction, not so much of a secret now as they are taking over the house.

Planning is such an important part of growing flowers, those Biennial Flowers that were sown last Summer are now blooming their socks off in the Walled Garden and the Sweet Rocket will find it’s way into many a wedding bouquet. That sweet scent can really calm the brides nerves on the big day, throughout the season I always love to include scent in the brides bouquet for this very reason, in the form of flowers, herbs or those glorious Scented Pelargoniums (a personal favourite!)

Our new online booking service for A La Carte Weddings will be launching soon giving you complete freedom to choose exactly your floristry requirements for your wedding. All grown here in Bedfordshire of course, you wouldn’t expect any less.

Take Care
